Papa Janzen was like a father I never had to me. When they came to Nigeria in the early 1990s to teach at American International School of Lagos where I was Lucille's assistant they both took me like their African daughter.
They met my late senior sister, my nephew Godwin.
I have been opportuned to visit them in Tacoma and had a wonderful time with them.
I was opportuned to meet Jane, her husband, Addison, Emily and her husband in Lagos Nigeria. I have also met Julie and her kids.
I introduced to a Nigerian dish 'egusi' soup which is melon seed stew kind of.
The Janzen family is my global family. Mama Janzen, Julie, Joel Jnr, Jane and Emily please take heart because Dad was a great husband and father.
We will miss him but he is in a better place.
Adieu Papa J!
