Obituary of Stephanie Perry

On February 4, 1978 (just one day shy of her older sister’s birthday) Stephanie Perry arrived into this world at Madigan Hospital, Fort Lewis, Washington.  She left this world on June 15, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, Washington after losing her battle with cancer.  Stephanie spent most of her life in Washington with a short time in Oklahoma.

From the time she was walking she was her father’s daughter.  As a toddler she was interested in anything her father was doing.  If he was working on the cars, she would be there with him and learned to work on vehicles maintenance right away.  She loved gardening, could remember species of plants and their particulars and became our quick reference person.

Her talents included sewing which she learned from both her grandmothers.  She was somewhat of a perfectionist and made her first quilt for her grandmother’s 100th birthday.  She also enjoyed making jewelry and experimented with several designs.  She loved to cook and was game to try any recipe - desserts, jams, jellies.  Friends and family benefitted from her experiments, but becoming a chef would take all the fun away!

Stephanie graduated from Franklin Pierce High School in 1996 and then attended Pierce College.  Her career included data entry for an auctioneer, house sitting for family and friends, and helping with the homestead.

She is survived by her parents, Lew and Janece Perry and sister Jacqueline (Chase) Perry-Rogers.  Her older sister, Penelope, died suddenly just five days prior to her death.

Stephanie requested no memorial service but friends and family should get together and celebrate her life.  She will be missed.  In lieu of flowers, please support your favorite charity.
