Steph - I’m so thankful that we sat together in band. And I’m even more thankful that I was able to harass you into being my friend. I loved your dry wit and sarcastic sense of humor.
I can’t even count all the times we ended up with a whole gaggle of friends at your house. Your parents tolerated all kinds of shenanigans from us, and still welcomed us. I mean really, who starts a flour fight in someone’s house? (Apparently, I do.)
One of my fondest memories of you was shocking to me in the moment. I remember being in high school and you told me that you could see me having kids one day. I was appalled, because in that moment, I couldn’t see myself having kids, EVER. But I think you clearly saw something in me that it would take me many more years to see in myself. Because that’s the kind of friend you were.
You will be forever loved and forever missed.
