Obituary of Brenda Joanne Hopkins

Brenda was born on July 23, 1973 in Puyallup, Washington. She was raised in Sumner. She attended Maple Lawn Elementary School, Sumner Jr. High and Sumner High School.

She passed on March 17, 2020, at her home in South Hill, surrounded by her loving family. 

Brenda had a very kind heart and a wicked sense of humor.

 

She leaves behind her son Tyler Hopkins, parents Steve and Kathy Hopkins, sister Lara Gavre (Brian, Sarah and Jacob), Grandmother Kathleen Hopkins and Aunt and Uncle Gary and Millie Hopkins.  She is also survived by Cousins Scott (and his wife Bonnie), Todd and Lee Hopkins, Kelley Hopkins (Kim, Chloe, Owen, Tanner and Gracelyn) and Marc Einnarrson,(Dawn). She was preceded in death by neice Angel Hopkins, Ron Hopkins, grandfather Edward Hopkins and great grandmother Tonny Hopkins. 

 

Brenda had a very soft spot in her heart for her beloved kitties: Lala,Po, Sammy and Trouble. 

 

Special thanks to Krista Round. Krista always made sure Brenda was warm and comfortable. Also shout out to Breezie, bestie of all times.  

 

Family Members will be invited for Visitation at Edwards Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, March 23rd, 2020, from 10am to 5pm. 

Friends of Brenda and Tyler will be invited for Visitation on Tuesday March 24th from 10am to 5pm.  

*Due to COVID19 restrictions, only 10 people maximum will be permitted at a time. If this number has been met, please remain in your vehicle until at least one guest leaves the viewing, at which time you will be permitted to enter.  Please do your best to adhere to social distancing regulations, for the protection of all guests, as well as their families*. 

 

Cremation to follow with interment at a later date.
