There was and never will be anyone like cousin Dona. She was so sweet, kind and very devoted to her children, husband, parents, and grandchildren.
I remember when she and Jennifer would be getting ready at Grandma and grandpa Hagen's big house, and they would put up with me going through their make-up. Dona once put lipstick on me, and I thought Grandma would have a stroke! I was the bratty youngest 1st cousin, and lucky to grow up close to Dona.
I remember when Gordy was "courting" Dona, and he just fit right in our big extended family, like it was meant to be.
Big holiday dinners at Grandma and grandpa Hagen's, spilling into the next yard, where Uncle Naff and Aunt Dorothy lived. Dona, Gordy, and the sports crowd would be there, catching football, golf or whatever game was on.
I could write a book about what a special, beautiful , and kind Cousin Dona was, but those of you reading this already know that. RIP Dona, you deserve it. Love you always. Cousin Liz
