Granfather there is not day that goes by that I do not think of you or talk about you. I miss you so much. Thank you for the wisdom, and stories that you share with me. They will always be significant in my heart. Thank you for all the fun memories that we shared together. Especially when you taught me how to play chess, and when we use to eat goodies together when we knew mom or grandma would have a fit! Those were the days.... Thank you for being strong for our family and showing us you loving caring heart as your day was near to your journey home. I love you so much and I hope that you are at peace. I not going to say bye I'll just say see you later.

Mr.Dixon was a great man. As my Father-in-law he taught me a few things over the years. The 16 years that I did know him he had a great sense of humor, he was a great story teller. He knew a lot about history. His life was a history book. Over the many years that he and I sat down and talked we had many long conversations about life and his experiences. I definitely honor him in with high esteem. I miss him but one day i will see him again. Son-in-law Christian

During this time all I can remember is the wonderful person who was my Dad. His sense of humor, his vast amount of knowledge, and his strong character. I know I will see him again soon, but he is still greatly missed. I'm glad I had such an extraordinary person as my father.

My Dad in the last year was a radiant of sunshine that became brighter and brighter each day. God revealed to him a new road, and discovered a new journey. My Dad 'called the shots... However he became humble and embraced someone else 'calling the shots'. My Dad looked through his wife and childrens eyes and was able to see a caring world. He came full circle in acknowledging, love, hope, and being proud of his children for who they are as well as his grandchildren. He was pleased. My Dad actually saw his success as a parent and voiced his realization. My Dad wore many hats: A hat of Control A hat of Pride A hat of High self- esteem A hat of Knowledge A hat of Choices A hat of Adventure and a hat of Love. So long Dad, love and thanks, daughter, Crystal

I had the honor to serve with SGM Dixon as a young Captain in Germany from 1967-1968. SGM Dixon was a soldier of quiet dignity and a thorough professional. I feel I became a better officer through his efforts. He was a Soldier's Soldier and I mourn his passing.

Cheryl, our heart goes out to you and your family. I regret that I never met your father, but in reading about him, it's easy to see he was a great man with a sharp mind (like you, Cheryl) and an amazing heart. It shows in how much he was loved by his family. A big hug from Tokyo, to Renton.
