Although we had not seen one another in some time, I have always admired your ability to concieve and achieve some pretty grand projects. You wanted a house, so you designed and built it. Needed a big garage, with 12 foot walls, done. I was with you when you needed a special tool, to cut cedar shakes, and decided on a bowling pin, which we found that day. I'm so sorry to here of your demise, as I always felt you brought value to this world.

Sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I am saddened to hear of his passing. He was one of the first people I met when I started in the Shipyard. Very helpful, always cheerful. Smartest man I knew in building things. That's why he was nicknamed 'the Hammer'. Yes that name goes all the way back to the early eighties, when Dave and I were in Ordanance Engineering. His nickname had to do with that Trini Lopez song, 'If I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning, I'd hammer in the evening, all over this land'... I told Dave, that's you!!... RIP my friend.

Dave was a great guy to work with. He had a very good sense of humor and always had a smile to brighten any day. I did not know him personally, but I will miss his spirit for sure.
