There are often people who touch our lives more than we realize; until it is too late to say thank you. Lisa has truly been one of these people for me. Since the day I was born, Lisa has been in my life as my aunt upon whose constant support I could always rely. Lisa was always there for birthdays and graduations, she was always just down the street whenever she was needed. She supported me through every major milestone in my life, such as helping my parents buy my first computer for college. She had always been a constant in my life and yet she may never have realized how much impact she made upon the individual I have become today. Through her example, Lisa taught me to listen and make decisions for myself. To challenge and question rather than take things at face value. She will be greatly missed, but she has truly made her mark on this world in all the lives she has touched and blessed during her time with us. I am a better person for having had her in my life.

My thoughts of Lisa and the years I had the privledge of working with her, she was always there to lend a hand or an ear. I will truely miss our talks about our son's and our grandkids. She was their to here the stories as I became a Grandma 5 times over & I shared Lisa joy as her 1st Granddaughter arrived. She was so excited and amused at the news of the twins, we laughed as she describe Ben & Becky's worries over needed a bigger car, 2 cribs, 2 highchairs 2 of everything, than she would smile and say 'Ben can handle it'. My heart goes out to all her family, I know she will live on in all our hearts. Lisa, I will forever remember you and miss you. Debbie

I first meet Lisa when she and my sister Laurine were in college at Humbolt State. She has been a part of our family all these years. She was a partner, a sister, a aunt, and a friend to us all. She will be missed by Laurine, Ben and his family, and all of the Ark family. I know she is in a magnificent place to quote our mother, Burnetta Ark. Laurine, we pray that your heart will be filled with wonderful memories of her. Love and Blessings Your Brother

I have known Lisa for about 8 years and have really enjoyed getting to know her. Visiting her and Laurine in Seattle was always a good time for us! Lisa was adventurous and outdoorsy so we always ended up getting outside and going to see forests, waterfalls, mountains, etc. which are trips that I'll never forget. Lisa had a wonderful sense of humor and always made me laugh and I appreciate her raising such a caring, giving son who I am proud to call my husband. We love you and we'll miss you so much Lisa!

I have been Lisa's mailman since 1986. When ever I would pass by and she was outside or if I went to the door she was always quick with a smile and a 'How are you doing Mark'. Lisa was a brave and kind person who will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Lisa and her family. God speed.

We were very saddened to hear about Lisa's death, and her illness leading up to her death. I believe we first met Lisa when she came to Minnesota to visit Ben and Becky, and she was also here for their wedding which was such a happy occasion! We will miss her, but are glad she is no longer in pain. May you rest in peace, Lisa.

I am sorry you lost someone that you loved so much. The cycle of life can be so difficult. I pray that God would fill your broken hearts with His love, peace, and soon joy again. I did not know Lisa that well, but I can tell she was wonderful because she helped raise such an intelligent and wonderful son who I am thankful to know and feel blessed to call my brother. (Ben is my brother-in-law.) I am thinking and praying for you during this time.

Oh my dear Lisa Ellen, I will miss you. You were an special soul. You were the only other Lisa Ellen I ever met. Only truly amazing women get that name. I know you are laughing at me. I will have a ginger ale and Baby Ruth for you and will always think of you when I have one. Laurine, you were the partner that she needed and she loved you so much. Just remember you did this on your terms and you won!! I love you!!

I have had the pleasure of being Lisa's niece for most of my life. I have great memories of her at their home in California. I learned from Laurine and Lisa about plants and developed my love of gardening. They even took me out and bought me my first pair of jeans because they didn't want me to get my clothes dirty playing in the garden. Mostly what I would like Lisa and everyone else to know is that she was my aunt. I loved her every minute that I knew her and I will miss her every day that she is separated from me.

Now as in life I have always considered Lisa my Aunt. I will always remember her watching sports with me, especially her 49ers. Lisa was special in the way she approached life. I will miss our conversations. I cherished our friendship, and miss her deeply.

I had the pleasure of working with Lisa ever since I started at Toray in 1999. She was always very helpful, and I often called her my 'favorite bean counter' I knew about her love of nature and I liked to tell her about my trip through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado river. I will miss her greatly.

We have known Lisa since she and Laurine were in school together. She will be remembered as a beloved family member and friend. She was taken from us too soon but we must trust that she is now at the best fishing spot imaginable! Our love and prayers are with our sister Laurine and nephew Ben and his family at this difficult time in our lives. Laurine proved to be the ultimate partner and caregiver during Lisa's illness. We know Lisa will remain in our hearts forever.
