I send feelings of great saddness, as Adrienne was someone who I admired, respected, and felt honored to know when I worked at the City of Tacoma. She was always for the good of the worker and worker rights, including fighting for women's rights and health rights for workers at the City. I will always remember her as a civil rights activist. Second, she loved her children and always talked about her kids with pride and love. I am sorry for your loss. Judie Fortier

Although I did not get very much time with you due to certain circumstances I'm glad I was able to meet you.. I heard many stories about you from my mother and I know you were truly cared for. You have shown many people how to stand up and fight for what they believe in. You have left your mark here and will be loved by all. You will forever live in my heart no matter what.

I am forever grateful to have had my Mom in my life. She has helped and touched so many people's lives. A happy time I remember with Mom was going to see the Glaciers in Alaska. She told me it was on her bucket list. I didn't want to go, but once there it was remarkable. I will always treasure that time I spent with her.

My sincerest condolences to you, Jason, and your family. I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your mother and she was always there for any of us. Know she is with her maker and at last, finally at peace. I know the many years of pain and suffering - she definitely was not a quitter. May she now find the endless love, happiness, and rest she deserves. With all our love, Adam & Matt

Adrienne was fiercely independant, passionately protective of loved ones & devoted to work, family & friends. She was a pragmatic, straight shooter, no nonsense kind of gal. She occassionally tried to hide behind a tough exterior & could be pretty stubborn at times, but she could never hide her gentle & tender heart for very long. Beautiful, both inside & out, Ade had a special 'one of a kind' spirit. Her sharp & biting humor was occassionally misunderstood by some, but more often than not, they joined in with laughter & shared in the warmth that clearly poured out from her heart & soul. Playing cards, gardening, smoking,& reading romance novels, may have brought some pleasure into Ade's everyday life, but NOTHING brought joy & sunshine into her world like her children & grandchildren did. So, while her passing is a tremendous loss indeed, I believe it's the memories that we have been so fortunate to share in, that we should hold onto & cherish so dear. Remembering & honoring those times will help sustain us all throughout the rest of our lives. She lives on in our hearts FOREVER...and her SPIRIT will shine on for all ETERNITY. We have ALL truly been fortunate to have have had her in our lives & were genuinely blessed to have had the opportunity to share in her long and winding journey home. I KNOW I'M NOT ALONE WHEN I SAY, 'WE WILL ALL MISS HER DEARLY!'
