I've known Ron since we attended junior high together. I also remember fishing with him and our group of north-end kids off the Pt. Defiance pier. I wound up working at Pt. Defiance Boathouse Marina and am currently the supervisor there. Ron would always stop into our shop for a chat and to reminisce about the 'old days.' He was a great guy and will be missed! My prayers go out to Ron and all his loved ones.

Like the ripples on a pond, Ron made a impression on everyone lucky enough to know him. His friendship, love and quiet helpfullness meant very much to us. His was a big cuddly bear with no hard edges, soft and kind, supportive and understanding. He is in our hearts, and never will be forgotten.

I didn't know Ron that well, but I know he was a kind person with a good heart. I do have an indelible memory from when I was a young teen of trying to sleep in the same room with him and my future brother-in-law Tony one night before a fishing trip. I now refer to that event as 'Snoreapalooza 76'. Those two got plenty of slept that night, I can assure you. :) My sympathy to all of Ron's family and friends. Kevin
