OK Dad I keep thinking this is a bad nightmare and I'm gonna wake up and give you a call to see how you are. But it is not and I will never hear your voice again say I love you babe. I miss you with all my heart. I want to give you a kiss one last time or hear a joke or your laugh or even disagree with you. I miss you so very much, My heart is so broken. I love you daddy!! Sandee

Aside from cutting my hair, (when I didn't want to) back then I had no choice, I'll always remember George as a happy person ( The picture above says it all) Always smiling. I know that aside from me, he will be missed and was loved by many.

George Tryfon and I met when I sat in his chair for a hair cut - he was the coolest barber ever! I met his beautifil daughter Sandee later in life (Stadium High School Class of 1977). We are close friends to this day. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Tryfon family as we all mourn the loss of a great man. See you in Heaven George!

It is with an abundance of love and gratitude that I knew George. He taught me to realize that life was about happiness and love for all people. His wife, Sally, George, and my husband Richard always shared memorable experiences that will last my life time.

Jon (and family) I was saddened to learn of your dad's death. As you'll probably remember George and I were classmates at Jason Lee and Stadium and I used to buy hats from your grandfather. Time passes so quickly. Jim

Growing up in the Greek Church was like a family of it's own. How often I think of Georges dad and the Hat store. My Pa Pou would go ther so often and then they all would go to the coffee house. how funny that is now they would have all met at Starbucks. I was very sorry to see that George had died please except my sincere condolences. We will try to stop by today. Yours Kristine (Hankins) Hanberg

I would like to offer my condolences to all of George's family at his passing. I worked with George for eleven years at the Razor's Edge, and has the pleasure of hearing many interesting and funny stories. George was a walking Joke Encyclopedia and taught me, with his anecdotes, the practical guide to Tacoma's history, especially regarding his father's famous hat shop. Many customers still ask me about George, and it is with sadness I tell them of his passing. May he rest in peace.
