I believe everyone that knew Tony knows that he's finally free of his burdens. I wish him well in yet another journey.

Tony was my next door neighbor. I checked on him from day to day just to say hi and to see if he was okay. He was frail and wobbly, but he could still walk. He had been to the hospital many times and the last time they finally transferred him to a detox facility. He came home after a few weeks and was much stronger and looked downright good, even with a bounce to his step and that old gleam in his eye that everyone who knew him had seen. His pickup had been repossessed the night before he got back, so I took him to town when he needed something. I would not take him to the liquor store. He borrowed a car a couple weeks later and was back to his old ways, perhaps even worse. I found him laying on the couch with his hands across his chest, like he was asleep. So sad. In helping pack his and Jana's stuff up, it was amazing to us how much schooling he had gone through to be a master electrician. The guy was very intelligent. My condolances to his family. He was a good neighbor, always helpful, almost to the point of being too helpful. We'll miss him.
