Our hearts are broken by the news. Our lives have forever been enriched by our too brief friendship with Xotchil. We had many great laughs, discussions, good wines and were truely blessed to have experienced her radiance.

I went out tonite and bought a quart of Chunky Monkey so I could eat it in Sochi's honor. I've already decided I can eat the whole thing in one sitting if I feel like it. When I last saw her a few weeks ago, and she was so extremely ill and a little incoherent, yet she talked in an animated way about the party we should be planning. She wanted to talk about who was coming and what food to prepare. Even in this state she was a force to be reckoned with, a bright light and she can never be replaced. I can hear her voice and see the sassy sparkle in her eyes. Love and prayers to everyone who loved her.

Xotchil was truly a gem. I wish we'd been able to spend more time witth he two of you, but there was always something in the way. It's sad that as neighbors we were never really able to find the time to get together.

Aunt Xotchie, I've been thinking alot about you the past few days. I got the call from my Dad and it made me think alot. I cant imagine what my cousins Junie and Jesse are feeling right now. I know the fear. Not too long ago, I had to walk into a hospital room and see my father so ill i didn't know what was going too happen. I know I hadn't seen you in 20 years. Still, being a Navarro I had a little bit of you and all my other strong willed aunts and uncles inside of me everyday. I was in contact with Junie and was happy to know she was doing well. My father cried when he told me you were on your way to Heaven. And the sadness of you not being here is only tempered by the fact that so many people love and will miss you. I don't think Heaven is ready for a Navarro but they better prepare themselves. Cause if they're doing anything wrong up there, I know my Aunt Xotchie will let them know how to fix it. Go with the angels and the soldiers that guard the streets of Heaven Aunt Xotchie. My mom Cathy, my sisters Lori & Dee Dee & my brother Wayne all send their prayers. Your Nephew....Mikey

Hello Phil Not sure if you remember us. We have shared meals together at Rick and Jori's and also at Lynn DiNino's. We were very sad to hear that Xotchil passed. She was a lovely person and in the few times we met she impressed us as a person with great depth, uniqueness and an artfulness to the way she lived and viewed the world. We will miss her fantastic smile. Be well Phil Chris and Vlad

I am so saddened by the news of the passing of Xoitchi and I bet I spelled it wrong too!) . From my fortunate moments spent in her company, the uniqueness of the girl made the very unique name fit like a glove. Her ability to fill a room with positive energy was unbounded. Her love of life, the arts, and those closest to her was evident in the joy she shared freely. I know there are so many like me, who know we have lost a bright light in our lives. Phil, My heart goes out to you.
