Obituary of James Lyle Duff

James Lyle Duff was a great father and husband of 21 years to Margaret Mary. Their deep love for him in life will carry on eternally within them. For if there is a memory, he will live forever. James ("Duffy", Jim) was a man with a passion for action and adventure. His gusto for outdoor adventure was exemplified among many things through his love for hunting, fishing, camping and motorcycle riding. To his friends he was a brother, a magnetic person with an infectious laugh and smile, always warm, always welcoming. His favorite songs were "Live Like You Were Dying" and "I Did It My Way". James was preceded in death by his parents Sylvia Marie (Reed) (5/18/1916-5/8/1999) and Kenneth Lyle Duff (5/25/1911-3/31/1980), his second wife Joanne Mitchell (3/26/1941-1973), son Donald Lee (1965-1973) and brother Edward Wray (5/14/1943-2/14/2000). He is survived by his wife Margaret Mary (Schroeder), his sisters Peggy Rubarski (Al), Shirley Lou Bliss ("Skip" Al Schreib), Diane Duff (Edward's wife). Amy Esko (his first wife) and his children Sandra Kay Rapp, Michael James, and Kenneth Lyle. Step-children Eric William Ladwig and Andrew Paul Ladwig, grandchildren Aron Jerdee and Jason Jerdee. Numerous extended family members and friends. Former owner-operator of STITA taxi (Sea-Tac International Taxi Assoc.) and Duffy's Taxi Service (Auburn/Pierce County). Member of motorcycle groups: GWRRA-Chapter "V" and Trike Riders International. Member of Eagles Aerie 2298 (Auburn) for 35 years.
