My heartfelt condolences are sent to Gay's family. Gay and Bill, my husband shared the same birthdate and for years until she moved to Gig Harbor, they had breakfast or lunch together on their day. Now in heaven they will be able to celebrate their day together again. Gay is gone in body, but her spirit and memory will remain with those of us whose lives she touched in so many ways. The video memorial was a beautiful tribute to a marvelous lady, mother, grandmother and friend. Sincerely, Ione Marks

All our memories of Gay are happy ones... No matter what the situation, she was the most gracious hostess -- from sharing her houseboat, to opening up her home at any time for company. I loved the fact that she cared not only for large, raucous parrots but also for homeless birds with broken legs. I know that Torben, the candyholic, really appreciated the endless quantities of ice cream and chocolate she always seemed to have on hand when we would visit... When Gay last visited us in San Diego, she spent the day with me at a few local nurseries helping pick out plants and flowers for a neglected spot in my garden. I told her I would call it Gay's garden, and I do... I think of her every time I wander outside the backyard. The flowering tree we planted together grows taller and more full to this day.... We know that Gay will be missed as much as she was loved.... Immensely. Torben and Kathy (de Vries) Norgaard

I enjoyed Gay's hospitality and friendship aboard her houseboat during frequent excursions to the Sacramento Delta. Together, with her good friend, Kaye Sims, we had such fine comaraderie and shared times. When she moved, we would exchange humorous e-mails to maintain contact. She will be well-remembered and missed by all that knew her. All the best, Dear.

I so enjoyed Gay! I am one of the many people who were fortunate to get to know her in the medical field the past several years. Always the lady first, then the businesswoman came out! Please accept my condolences. She was a gem and I am honored to have had the opportunity to know her.
