Hilda and Family: What a great testiment to your dad. Page after page of condolences from friends, coworkers and family. The stories made me smile. They painted a wonderful picture of who your dad was. I speak for not just me, but for the entire Kaczmarek Family when I say you are in our prayers. We know this time is difficult for you and know that it will get better. Your dad is in a good place...we all will meet again. God bless you. Fondly Bettina and Family

I didn't know Bill well, but I worked in the same building with him for more than fourteen years. Occasionally I would bring him a work history for assignement. He was always gracious, helpful, and I remember him best for his warm, genuine smile. I'll miss him here but I hope we meet again!

Bill was a kind and gentle spirit. He was the first person who greeted me when I came to work for the Department. His smile was contagious. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends in their loss. What a wonderful man you are Bill.

My condolences to Bill's Family. Bill was a joy and inspiration to us all - a real gentlemen. I saw him every day on his way back from getting his soup!... He always had a kind word and a smile. He will be greatly missed.

Bill Harmon was dad's older brother and my only uncle and he will be greatly missed by the family. My prayers are with each one in our family that the Lord will comfort them in this time of grieving for their loss. As they lean on God's strength he will uphold each one. Love, Jackie

Hilda Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. Your Dad sounds like a fantastic man. No matter how old our loved ones are we are never prepared for their death. It makes it doubly hard when your dad was so active and it was so sudden. You now have a great advocate in heaven. Blessings, Pat Walsh, Hospice House Volunteer

My sympathies on the loss of Bill to his family. I have been retired from L & I for 10 years, but enjoyed his leadership in our daily 'stretch' exercises at the beginning of our work days. We depended on him; on the very rare occasions when he was not at work, we did not know how to proceed, though we had the same routine for many years. God bless you! Joan Doherty

Bill loved his family soooo much. Not a day would pass that he didn't 'check' on Hilda, Hal and the kids. Many days he would ask, 'Does anyone want SHICKEN?' He loved buying food for family. Everday he would either go to the commissary or pick up food for everyone and anyone at Hilda's house. Providing food was love to Bill. I would tell Hilda that there was too much food in the house and really no place to put the daily infusion of groceries, but Bill loved getting things for the family and just LOVED it when he found an awesome deal to give to the family. Bill was such a good shopper, he found deals DAILY. More than any grandpa that I know, Bill was part of his grandchildrens life. He cared deeply for his family and expressed his feelings often and always in his special way. As Bill got older, he seemed to express his love even more deeply to his family. Bill is a perfect example of how people can learn and always make their life better as they get older. Bill will be missed, but the lessons that I have learned from him will not be forgotten. This unassuming man has changed my life. Thank you Bill for sharing yourself with me! Love to my sister and kisses to everyone! Andrea and family

My sympathy to your family for the unexpected loss of your father and grandfather. I know he was part of your daily life. It will be a hard gap to fill. I hope you will be comforted by the fact he had a long, good life and found joy in dealing with each of you.

My dear Bill. He should be cloned all over the state; he was an inspiration to us all. Not one day would he need to live over because he did it right the first time. I'd be on the phone when he'd approach my desk across from him to have a chat about work, local, or world news. I'd hold up a finger to indicate I'd be with him in a minute. He'd scrunch up his face, toss it about a bit, then with raised head, go back to his desk. What he had to say was important to him so I'd always check with him about what he wanted. I'll miss Bill everday and I know you will too. Thanks for sharing him.

Bill was one of a kind. A man that reminded us all that we were the lucky ones. He wanted to come to work. He enjoyed his job. He enjoyed the people he worked with. He knew the job we do is important. He was a constant reminder of what was important by just being Bill. All he had to do was come to work and be Bill. How lucky were we to have had him all those years. Thank you, Bill and thank you to his family for sharing him with us.

I didn't know him personally, but saw him frequently when leaving the building at the end of each day, and followed him out to his little green bug. I am so sorry for this tragic loss to your family. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers

Bill lead the stretching classes at L&I for quite some time. I attended for awhile and always thought that the stretching did me good, but even better, was seeing Bill take an interest in staying healthy and being involved in life. He was a great inspiration to younger people. I will miss seeing him in the halls. My thoughts are with his family at their time of loss.
