Dean & Kay lived in the Queen Anne and Magnolia area until they retired to Gig Harbor in 1983. Dean was the sales manager for Le Roux Men’s Clothing store in Magnolia for many years. He has many great stories and fond memories about all the people who worked and lived in “The Village”. Kay passed away suddenly in 1988. Dean loved to play golf, see his grandchildren & great grandchildren, garden and “fix” things. Dean has 2 sons, Dick & Tom and 2 daughters, Pat & Kelley. Dick and his wife, Frankie, live in Gig Harbor and have 5 children, Elesa, Anna-sara, Max, Lindsay and Mee Jee. They also have 9 grandchildren and another on the way. Kelley and her husband Jeff Wells, live in West Virginia . After Kay’s death in 1988, Dean attended his 50th high school class reunion in Coeur d’ Alene , ID where he met Betty Green. They had gone to grade school & high school together. As the story goes, Dean was the first boy that Betty ever danced with. So after knowing each other for over 60 years, they married in 1989. Dean & Betty had a wonderful life. They had taken many trips to see the USA and Canada . Together, they loved to plot out the next year’s garden and worked hard to make the garden beautiful. It was always spectacular. They were very lucky to have found each other. Betty will be moving to Arizona to live near her son and daughter in law, Bob & Laurie Green. Dean had a happy and fulfilling life. He made an impression everywhere he went. He was the patriarch of 3 generations and will be missed. We were blessed to have him for a dad, grandpa, grandpapa, husband, relative, neighbor & friend. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008
