First, I would like to thank Pat's family for allowing myself and my co-workers to care for Pat in his final days. On behalf of everyone at Park Rose I would like to offer our prayers and deepest sympathies to Pat's family and friends during this difficult time. I was one of many fortunate individuals who cared for Pat during his stay. He was popular among residents and staff and always had a warm smile and a kind word for all. Pat and I often shared stories about the military. He told me what it was like for him to be a Marine years ago and I shared my current experiences of being in the Army. Pat had a very active sweet tooth and often stuffed my pockets with various treats. He filled my long shifts at work with laughter and encouragement and he will be greatly missed. I am so honored to have been able to care for such a wonderful man. May he rest peacefully in God's arms.

I first met Pat 23 years ago. I was thrilled to know that he went to school with my mother. We developed a good relationship. He shared many stories with me and we watched some of his old fights that he had on tape. We exercised and jogged from time to time. Although I was 27 years younger, he could still outperform me. ha-ha. And I thought I was in good shape. Since I was a Laker fan I did not hold it against him that he was a Celtic fan, or that I said Muhammad Ali was probably the best ever and he said Rocky Marciano. My fondest memory of him was when I cooked dinner for us at my mother's house for our birthdays, which were 3 days apart, and after we watched the movie 'Somebody Up There Likes Me.' He was even so gentlemanly that he brought flowers for my mother. His demeanor was not what you would think from a fighter. He was the kindest, most gentle and loving man. He touched my life in so many ways. I am a better person for having him in my life. Thank you Pat. God bless you... God blessed us... Steve

I also was So fortunate to know Pat….. I worked at Market Place in Parkland, for 20+ years…. So I seen him pretty much 3x a week. Lol. He always stopped and visited with me and share stories….. I was so enamored with his sweet demeanor and charming manner. I just happened to think of him tonight , so I looked up his name and was so sad to see he had passed. But I am sure he is dancing upstairs with all the ladies……. Don’t forget to save me that dance Patrick Michele Blais

Dear Shannon and Pat, We are so sorry to hear about your dad. Sam and I saw him at Cascade Park when we were looking for assisted living for dad about a year ago. He recognized us immediately and was his old charming self! Hope you are well. Our thoughts and sympathy are with you. Sincerely, Matt Allegro and family

What a great person Pat and his brother Mke was, I remember when I was only 4or 5 years oly and Pat would drive his father bread route during the summer time so his mom & dad could have a vacation. When they would get to our house it didn't matter which one of the brothers was driving we always got to wrestling on the lawn with my brother and me. My mother always made a sanwich for lunch for them. What a great time.
