Obituary of Jerald Robert Neslund

“Jerry-born to travel” This is the password to Jerry’s computer. It is a perfect description of how he led his life. Jerry loved to travel and ride his Harley with friends. When Jerry made friends, he made friends for life. Born 6/2/1960 in Tacoma, WA and unexpectedly left us on 5/21/2007 in Tacoma, WA. Jerry loved to take photos on his many travels, documenting all the places he’d been and the things he’d seen. He had a love of the great outdoors; hiking, fishing and camping. He loved a variety of music and took a special interest in zydeco, he was an avid reader and a collector of art. Jerry was also a member of the Tacoma Elks lodge. Jerry was self-employed (Neslund Structural Detailers) and enjoyed his work as a designer (Cad design). He successfully completed jobs and projects in all 50 states and Canada, he was always learning, growing and looking for ways to improve and do his job better. Jerry was never satisfied with just status quo, he was always on the cutting edge. Jerry was a wonderful; son, husband, brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Jerry is survived by his mother Judy (Mike), wife Olga, sister Juliana (Victor), nephews Adam (DeNenne), Jeremy, Shane and nieces Vanessa and Alexis and also numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Preceded in death by his father James Neslund. Jerry will always be loved and remembered. We miss you and hold you dearly in our hearts forever. Memorial service to be held 11 AM Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Lakeview Congregational Chapel, 4606 108th St. SW, Lakewood, WA. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008.
