Obituary of Ryan Wesley Olson

Ryan, age 39, passed away November 03, 2023, as a result of a fentanyl overdose. 

Our hearts are broken as we remember this man-child who as a boy was funny, mischievous smart, and caring. He was a cool kid who had the biggest heart, was talented, and had a love for life. 

Ryan was diagnosed with schizophrenia at 19, haunting him with uncontrollable voices which gradually controlled his life.

Ryan is survived by his son, Ryan Jr. of Keller, daughter Chole of Davenport, mother, Terri Pothier of Tacoma, father, Ed Olson and step mother Sheila of Keller. Five brothers, Eddie of Moses Lake, Jacob, Brandon, Andrew, and Kyle of Tacoma. Special Aunt, Lorene Strand of Oklahoma, Grandmother, Judy Jones of Milton and Barbara Smith of Orting. He also has numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and those who love him. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ed Olson, Sr., Loren Grassman, Brian Jones and Virgil Smith

There will be a private family celebration of Ryan 11/25/23.

His spirit will live within us, in our hearts, and memories forever.
