Obituary of George Allen Thorsnes

George Allen Thorsnes, born on January 7th, 1987, passed away unexpectedly on July 26th, 2023, at just 36 years old, at Tacoma General Hospital. His beloved wife, Janelle, and his best friend, Dustin, were by his side during his final moments.

George was predeceased by his mother-in-law, several aunts and uncles, as well as his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Janelle Thorsnes, with whom he shared 12 wonderful years, and their children Lacey (16), Madison (9), Lilly (7), and Michael (2). George also had a son, Hunter (14), from a previous relationship. He is also survived by his parents, Richard and Wendy Thorsnes, his siblings Barbara Hendricks, Doug Brewster, Dickie Thorsnes, and Josh Thorsnes, as well as several nephews and nieces, great nieces, countless cousins, aunts, and uncles. George considered family to be anyone he loved and cared for deeply, whether by blood or not.

Family meant everything to George, and he cherished the moments he spent with them. He loved hosting BBQs, family gatherings, and holidays, and he always looked for opportunities to bring the family together.

George was a fun-loving guy and always the life of the party. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He was known for his outgoing personality and his ability to make friends wherever he went. He was a big fan of the Seattle Seahawks and loved attending games or watching them from home. He also enjoyed floating the river, camping, and binge-watching TV shows with his wife.

George was an amazing person who touched many lives with his kindness, humor, and love for his family. He had a heart of gold and was always there for his friends and family. He was the first to volunteer to help someone in need, and he always went above and beyond to make sure everyone around him was happy and cared for. His kindness and generosity were inspiring, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

We will all miss George dearly, but we will also remember him for the joy and love he brought into our lives. A Celebration of Life for George will be held at the Bethel Learning Center on Sunday, October 15th, at 3:00 p.m. If you'd like to join us in remembering this wonderful man, the address is 21818 38th Ave E, Spanaway, WA 98387.
