Obituary of Christine Smith

Christine (Chris) Lee Marie Smith was born to Vincent and Dorothy Kiphart on April 5th, 1951 at Good Samaritan hospital in Cincinnati Ohio. She is survived by her husband, John McNaughton, her children Tracy and Gavin and their spouses James and Amanda, her beloved granddaughters, Hannah and Allie and their mother, Jennifer Smith, and loving Mother in law, Sandy McNaughton.  Chris was born into a large family and is also survived by 5 sisters, Judy, Susan, Sharon, Lynn and Deborah and two brothers, Tom and Mike and countless cousins and nieces and nephews.

Chris married Vaughn Smith after High School and together they traveled the world as an Airforce family. She loved to travel and experience the cultures of the many countries she lived in and visited. Chris collected museum books every where, she wanted to see every thing. Chris was a beautiful soul and she made long lasting friendships every place she went.

Chris settled,  after many years traveling,  in Lakewood.  She and John McNaughton got together and lived their life  there.

Chris was the best Mother. She would do anything for her children and her granddaughters. She was funny,  smart and so very loving. She was everyone's "Mom". She was always there with hugs, laughs, love and food and all were welcome.

She tried new things and never aged a day until Alzheimers came for her.

Chris was unique.  She loved her family with her whole heart, all the time. She was strong and brave and beautiful. Her passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts and lives. She will always be loved and she'll be greatly missed.
