Obituary of Melody Ann Simpson

                                                   A wife, a mother, a grandma too, this is the legacy we have from you.

Melody Simpson, age 61, passed away peacefully July 25 at 12:20 AM at her home in Allyn, WA. With her husband Robert Simpson with her. Born in Olympia on August 11, 1961 to Frank and Florence Tekin and Graduated from Tumwater High School in 1979. Melody is survived by 3 children Matt Hamilton , Loren Burke and Isaiah ( Fanny) Hystad 3 step children, Meggan (Tom) Simpson Barnard , Ian Simpson, Evan Simpson and 2 grandchildren Alaina Jones , Rory Simpson Barnard. Melody had 2 siblings, Sister Sandy Gentry and Brother Frank Tekin. She is also survived by loving Aunts,Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.

As a young adult she moved from the Tumwater area to Belfair and then Bremerton where worked for the State of Washington for 17 years with the majority of them at the Frances Haddon Morgan Center. She met some of her closest friends there who stayed a part of her life until the end. Melody will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul who made friends easily and loved to help those less fortunate than her. She loved being outdoors, spending hours working in her yard are going for walks when she was not out exploring the beauty of the northwest. We will miss her Banana bread and the Pumpkin rolls during the holidays. Melody will be missed dearly. Rest in peace, you will not be forgotten.
