Obituary of Alice Louise Biles

Alice Louise Biles, 74 passed away on June 30, 2022 with her family by her side. Alice was born on October 21, 1947 in Seattle, Washington to Kenneth (Bud) and Dorothy Kleve. The oldest of five children, Alice was always dedicated to helping with her siblings, who she loved very much. Alice graduated from Sumner High School in 1965. After graduating, she got a job at Boeing working as a comptometer operator. There she met the love of her life, Douglas Biles. They married in 1967, and were blessed to be able to spend 55 years together. Her first child James was born in 1967, followed by their daughter Shirley in 1970. Alice was a stay-at-home mom who was very active in her community. She enjoyed helping at school and was awarded a golden acorn award from the Washington State PTA. She assisted with girlscouts and youth groups, taught catechism, and was a member of Catholic Daughters. She was a mom figure to many, and always opened her heart to everyone. Alice enjoyed reading, camping, searching for agates at the ocean, and spending time with her family and friends. Alice is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Kleve (Bud), mother Dorothy Kleve, granddaughter Lauren DuFresne, and sister Patty Bye. Alice is survived by her husband Douglas Biles, her children; James Biles (Carol) and Shirley DuFresne (Larry), her grandsons; Cooper DuFresne and Easton DuFresne, her sister Donna McLean(Pat), brothers Ken Kleve (Lora), and Jay Kleve (Melissa) and her many nieces and nephews. Alice will live on through every person she knew. Her fun-loving nature and caring spirit will continue to be imprinted in our hearts and minds forever. A rosary will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Tacoma, on July 28th at 11:30 am. A funeral mass will directly follow at noon, with a reception in the hall after.
