Obituary of Toni Marie Gilman

Toni Marie Gilman was born in Tacoma, Washington on December 10, 1963. She gained her angel wings on February 3, 2022. Toni was the only daughter in a family with four brothers to parents Judy and the late Byron Gilman. Toni leaves behind her only son Ryan Gilman, his wife Krystalyn Gilman and the light of Toni’s life, their 9 month old son Parker. Toni is survived as well by her Mother Judy Gilman, her brothers-Vince Gilman, Barney Gilman, Ken(Denise) Gilman and Curt(Lisa) Gilman. Toni was an amazing Auntie and she will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews & great nieces and nephews-Amanda(Scott), Colby, Felicia, Rae, Summer(Lloyd), Ava, Maiya, Alyssa(Conner), Easton, Ryker, Cameron(Michelle), Haley, Liberty, and KJ. She leaves behind as well, sister-in-law Samantha and nieces Emalyn and Ryleigh. As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her father Byron Gilman, Grandparents Hank and Florence Goetz and Uncle Bernie Goetz. And best friend Becky Lamb. Toni was raised as Catholic and enjoyed participating in communion, confirmation and private school. She made several lifelong friends she still kept in touch with from those years. Toni had an unwavering faith and loved attending church. Toni graduated from Mt Tahoma High School in Tacoma in 1982. In 1983 she gave birth to her son Ryan. She was a single mom and she gave all her energy time and love to raising Ryan. He is and always was her everything. In 1996 Toni was diagnosed with diabetes. She ultimately ended up on dialysis for over 10 years. In 2017 she was the recipient of a kidney transplant. That day was a truly a blessing. On May 13, 2021 Toni’s dream of becoming a grandma came true. Parker Byron Gilman came into this world and she was head over heels in love. She loved everything about him. Toni would reach out to others often to let them know she was thinking of them. If there was a family gathering or kids function, she always tried her best to be there. Her nieces and nephews will never forget her thoughtful cards and calls on all their birthdays and special days. Ryan, Krystalyn, Parker and Judy along with her siblings, spouses and their children and are feeling her loss deeply. She was a true treasure and will be missed immensely. There will be a celebration of life at a later date to be determined.
