Obituary of Katrina E. Cologerou

Katrina Cologerou, 70, passed away on Tuesday, November 9th after a 1 1/2 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Katrina attended Bryant Elementary School and Jason Lee Jr High School. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1969 and went on to work at United Pacific Insurance and then Pierce County Medical/Regence.

She met and married her husband and best friend John in 1976. They loved to travel and took every chance they could to vacation in South Florida and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They also enjoyed Sweden and Germany, as well as Aruba and Palm Springs, CA.

Katrina and John loved to entertain and host dinner parties, Christmas Eve Open Houses and summer BBQ's. She loved to set a table
that had a theme. She had more tablecloths and tableware and wine glasses than most! Katrina loved her serving pieces! She could
set a beautiful table for any occasion!

Katrina also loved a good yard sale and a visit to a thrift store! The weekend ritual for them was looking through the newspaper and planning the route they would take to hit all the yard sales in the North End.

She really loved and cared for her family. When she stopped working she took care of her mom and of course "The Ladies". These
were her mom's friends and long time family friends. Katrina was always there for them, to take them to their Dr appointments, hair
appointments, the grocery store, ect. She loved to care for them and her calendar was always full.

Katrina was grateful for the love and friendship of so many who stood by her side after the death of her beloved John, throughout her battle with cancer and through the many years of friendship. She was a loyal friend. She remained close to her friends even as far back as elementary school and junior high school. But, no matter how long you knew her, or how long it had been since you last spoke to her she always took the time to catch up and find out what was happening in your life and get you caught up on hers. Most of her phone calls started with " I'm not going to stay on the phone long ... ", but then hours would pass before your conversation would end.

Katrina was preceded in death by her mother Kerstin "Kay" Kraft, her father Fred Kraft, her beloved husband John Cologerou, and her
step son Jon Cologerou.

She is survived by her brother Steven Kraft, sister in-law Cindy Kraft, nephew Harrison and niece Hayden.

Katrina will be deeply missed by all that loved her. She wanted you to know that she lived a wonderful life!
