Uncle Ed, Katie, Maria; and family, please accept our sincerest condolences on the passing of our beloved Aunt Kathy. Aunt Kathy was a wonderful, caring woman who loved her family, friends, and the Lord with all her heart. Even though distance kept us from getting together, I knew we were always welcome when visiting. I will miss our chats on the phone. She was so happy to hear from me, always upbeat and never hung up without a laugh. This is one of her beautiful pictures which hangs in my entry way. I look at it every day and think of her. I miss you Aunt Kathy.

I met Kathy later in her life. The first time was one Easter Sunday for a family dinner at her and Ed's home. Even though she had trouble walking she made sure that everything was just the way she wanted it, including the table and decorations. She made sure that everyone was comfortable and of course that they had plenty to eat! It was a delicious dinner with great conversation. Ever the gracious hostess.

Kathy was such a special person. Regardless of the type of day she was having, she always had the time to greet everyone with true caring, a huge smile, and that twinkle in her eye. She touched many lives, she created beautiful artwork, and was a loving and devoted mother and wife. The world was a better place with her in it. You are missed Kathy, but we smile thinking about you and your contributions! Steve & Teri

We will celebrate Kathy's life at The Long Lake Community Building on July 8, 2021. The address is 5100 Long Lake Rd SE, Port Orchard, WA 98367.
The doors will be open by 1:00 PM and the service will begin at 1:30 PM.
Refreshments will be served following the service.
Please dress comfortably, Kathy would want that. This is not a sad occasion, it's a celebration of the many years that this wonderful gal graced us with her love, whit, and charm.
In lieu of flowers we request that you could bring a memento of your relationship with Kathy if you choose. Could be a card, a photo, a note, anything that you can share that will remind us of you and Sweet Kathy.
We also invite you to share a special memory during the service. Please advise me of your intention so that time can be estimated and provided for.
And if you will be so kind to RSVP so we will have a chair for you.
Yours in loving memory of Kathy,
Ed

We are so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. She was a wonderful talented woman with a zest for life and love for her for family and friends. She was always so friendly and outgoing that she always made everyone feel welcome when you were around her. Her smile, and humor will be missed. She was a special lady and we were privileged to know her. We are praying that the memories you have of her will give you comfort in this difficult time. Please let us know if you need anything.

Kathy and Ed are true red blooded Americans and two of the best people I have ever met in my life. I know that Kathy is now with our Lord and we will all meet again in Heaven. Painting by Kathy 1996

I never met Kathy but Ed has been a friend for many years and the love that Ed and Kathy had for one another was ever-present and overflowing. I know other veterans who did have the wonderful opportunity to have met Kathy and their praise for her was ever-present. Their marriage and their life set an example for all.
She's gone home to be with the Lord and while I know Ed and his entire family will miss her, the memories will live on and bring warmth, comfort, and smiles for generations to come.
May God bless and be with you all!!
