I would just like to add for his family & Annie....Manny was a GOOD friend to me for the 27+ years I had the privilege of working with him. A quiet man, but perhaps the HARDEST worker I ever worked with! I honestly could NOT keep up with him, & he often (without trying) made me feel guilty as if I wasn't pulling my own weight. He never complained however, & when I apologized for "socializing" more than I should (he'd pick up my slack), he'd brush it off saying "don't worry about it". He & I were what I would call a "great" team, although I think I got the better end of the deal. Although he was a bit older than me, he often called me his "other brother from a different mother", & to me, that was a compliment, because he treated me as if he were my older brother. We shared MANY laughs, confronted many stressful situations together. Yet each time I found myself in an awkward situation, I always knew he was right behind me, as I wanted to be for him. My worst regret is that he & I never did anything together after work, spending quality time that is now forever lost. You all have my sincerest & most heartfelt sympathy. I loved him too, & will now dearly miss him more than ever. God Bless

Annie,
There are no words to take away sadness when you lose someone you love, and we all loved Manny. Manny and I spent many hours working together in an environment that could be extremely stressful, but at other times we had fun, especially when we picked on you. We always had each others back. One of the memories of our time together happened many years ago in the little town of Elbe Wa. Your mother was visiting from Scotland and you and Manny wanted her to experience the Elbe Xmas train. To make a long story short when my family was on the train, it lost a wheel and broke down. My husband and son and I were stranded in the snow and sleet for hours. When we finally got rescued, they took us back to Elbe. Low and behold, there was you, Manny and your mom sipping on coffee and hot chocolate. When we saw you guys we all hugged and rejoiced that we could share a hot beverage. Unfortunately your train ride was cancelled. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Don, Dinah, James and Aru.

Thank you to the Jackson family for sharing Manny with me. As a co-worker in the dungeons of Pierce County, Manny was always a lifting Spirit. I have missed Anne and Manny's stories , and there are none that top Manny getting his car stolen (forgetting he drove the truck) from Tacoma Mall while Christmas shopping, or how he Knew Anne was watering plastic flowers, but just kept being encouraging she was doing a great job and they look great, even through the winter! The many many laughs out weigh the struggles. You will be missed Manny, a guiding bright beacon of light that you are always in my heart!
With love, Tim K
