Obituary of Kerry Michael Shane

On Wednesday, November 25, 2020 Kerry Michael Shane (aka Mike), loving husband & father of five children, passed away at the age of 73. Pastor Douglas Thomison of Yelm United Methodist Church will be officiating. Mike was born September 23rd 1947 in Bishop California. He grew up in Big Pine California and graduated from Big Pine Unified High School in 1965. He joined the Marines August 23rd 1967 and he served 2 years 5 months and 16 days for his country. He married his wife Mary Neconie on the 12th of April 1969 in Jacksonville North Carolina and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Together they raised 5 children. Deer hunting was his passion and known as the “Great White Hunter.” He loved the outdoors and taught several people how to hunt as well as helped them get their first deer. He was a very dedicated and loyal employee. Worked at Union Carbide in Bishop California for 25 years and Warrior Mart in Anadarko Oklahoma for 17 years. 

He is survived by his wife Mary; Daughter Christina, son-n-law James and 2 step grandchildren Taylor and Cheylin. Son Kevin, daughter-n-law Coletta and 2 step grandchildren Meaghan and Bryson and 4 step great grandchildren. Daughter Donna, and 3 granddaughters Jozee, Lily and Kayleigh. Daughter Lynzee, and 3 grandchildren Jasmine, Raymond and Logan. Son Joseph, daughter-in-law Sandra and 2 grandsons Cayden and Jaycob. Sister Erin, brother-in-law Jack and 2 nephews Jeremy and Josh. He is also survived by foster mother-n-law Jenny and her children Dale, Marthina and husband Larry and Helena. Also the Goodwin family who adopted him as their father and grandpa. Three sister-n-laws, Carol, AnnaSue and Maxine and two brother-n-laws, Donald Wayne and Roderick, along with family members including many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer Morris and Renie Shane.
