Obituary of John Lewis Allen

"Don't grieve for me, I'm free."

John "Noochie" Lewis Allen was born November 23rd, 1960, and he fell asleep in death on August 5th, 2020.

He is survived by his beloved mother Dolores Allen, daughter Terrilynn Heggins, son(s) Markius Allen, and Marlon Taylor. He is also survived by his siblings and grandchildren; Rochelle Allen, Monica Jackson & Anthony Jackson, Marcella Williams & Gary Williams, Alyce Powe & Stephen Powe & Paul Perry, Granddaughter Melanie, Granson(s) Noah and Nova. He also leaves behind the love of his life, Nin White, Auntie and Uncle, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

John, also known as "Noochie" and to some "John the Baptist" will be remembered as the life of the party,  He kept his loved ones laughing and was a joker. He never hesitated to say what was on his mind. He enjoyed boxing, basketball, playing football, as well as ping-pong. He had a love for cars and movies.

Even during difficult times, he trusted in our Heavenly Father. His faith in God is what kept him strong until he took his last breath. He will be remembered by all those who loved him and our family will keep his memory close and dear to our hearts.

Don't grieve for me

I could not stay another day

To laugh, to love, to work, or play;

Tasks left undone must stay that way.

I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembering joy,

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;

Ah, yes these thing I too will miss.

Be not bured wtih times of sorrow;

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I've savored much,

Good friends, Good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief

Lift up your heart and share with me.
