Donna: It was a heartwarmig experience to attend the service yesterday morning and support you in remembering Tom. Considering his interests, hobbies, and character, he sounds like a person I would have like to meet and talk to (during his better times). It is too bad that I couldn't have been there to support you in person, this COVID is getting in the way of so many important things ! It was a very nice service. Thanks for reading the poem, did you write it?
May your faith in God brighten the path as you go forward in the following years to live a life well deserved.

In the many years I knew Tom Grabski, he was always a kind man, consistent and tall in stature as the mountains he enjoyed during his life. I can still see him walking along the river, his long-legged stride with one of his Irish Setters running at his side. Tom seemed at one with nature. He didn't talk as much as Donna and I, he seemed at peace quietly enjoying being with Donna and the dogs in the outdoors.
You could easily see Tom's love for Donna through their years together. He loved to be with her. His eyes never left her. As his mind started slipping away, and he started to slowly make his way to the arms of the Lord, Tom would reach for Donna's hand often, and repeat her name. He wanted Donna and the dogs, Glory and Sydney, near him to bring him peace. Tom was such a true and good man. Donna loved and cared for him day in and day out right through to the end. She has been an amazing strong wife and gave all she had to make him as comfortable as he could be, safe in their home. God bless Donna. Tom rests peacefully with the Lord.

Donna,
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved husband. I hope that the good memories comfort you in this time of grief. You were his Angel here on Earth and now, he is your Angel in Heaven until you meet again. Take care my friend! Love, Moira

I have had the privilege of helping care for Tom these last two years. Even with the advanced state of his condition, Tom was gentle and kind. He truly was a gentle giant. One of the last words he held onto was "Donna"...always a special connection with his lady.
You are missed and sweetly remembered!

Tom was my brother. I have many fond memories of hunting and hiking with him as well as Nancy and I floating the icy Yakima River In the warm sunshine with both he and Donna. Being a Fred Meyer wine steward, he arranged some wonderful wine tastings for us in Yakima as well. Although he has been gone from us in many ways for about 3 years already, we are still going to miss him.

When I moved into my home next door to Tom and Donna I didn’t know a single person in the area except my daughter. But it didn’t take long for the sweet man next door to introduce himself and immediately begin to tell me about his special and younger wife Donna. He was quite proud of having a younger wife. Lol. From that time until Tom was unable to be out in the yard I could always count on hearing him say “Hi neighbor” over the fence. I have missed hearing that.
Rest In Peace Tom, you are free.

Tom and my sister, Donna, have been on their journey for the past 20 years. Someone my sister looked up to, literally, Tom was her companion on trips to the beach, dinner out with friends, and occasions with family. I’m happy that my sister found someone with whom she created many happy memories. May those fond memories warm her heart and comfort her mind as she adjusts to life without her Tom. Love, Rodnie
