Obituary of Timothy John Haechrel

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Timothy John Haechrel, devoted husband, father, and grandfather at the age of 63.

 

Tim was born on March 13, 1957 to Florence and Daniel Haechrel in St Paul, Minnesota. He grew up in this area and graduated from Chisago Lakes high school in 1975. In high school he met the love of his life, his beautiful bride Robyn of 45 years.

 

Upon graduation Tim joined the United States Army and found himself stationed at Ft Lewis in the state of Washington. He loved the area so much he spent the remainder of his life there raising his family.

 

After his discharge from the Army, Tim joined local roofers union #153. His extraordinary work ethic and perfectionist tendencies kept him in that profession for nearly 40 years. At the age of 60 he began his much-deserved retirement, a retirement that was cut far too short by his unexpected passing at home on July 31, 2020.

 

Tim’s greatest passion was his family.  Whether it was shopping with his wife, lunch dates with his kids, or playing ball with the grandkids, there was no place else he’d rather be.  The love and support he showered on them was clearly seen by those fortunate enough to know him.

 

Tim was preceded in death by his father Daniel, mother Florence, brother James, step father Michael, nephew Eric and survived by his wife Robyn, children Karie (Nathan) and Jeremy, grandchildren Daniel, Jeffrey, Sean, and Charles, sisters Jean (Del) Sandra (Greg), Cheryl (Kevin), brother John (Misty), step siblings Jean (Joe), Jim (Tina), Tom (Jane), Mick (Sherry) and Barbara (Mike) many relatives and friends.

 

There will be a public viewing at Edwards Memorial Lakewood, 11020 South Tacoma, Lakewood, WA on Wednesday August 5^th from 2-5PM.

A funeral mass is taking place at 10am on Thursday August 6^th at St John of the Woods. Due to COVID capacity restrictions, the mass will be livestreamed and can be accessed at the following link:
