James “Jimmy” R. Hunotte

10/06/1953-03/02/2020

Jimmy was born October 6^th, 1953 and passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 2^nd, 2020 while listening to The Harder They Come by the Jerry Garcia Band. He is survived by the love of his life Marilyn, his brother Dennis and sister Kathy, his children Jami, Jillian, Jack Jr., Sarah and Megan, his grandchildren Cody, Rashell, Jonathon, Joslin, Jalen, Brianna, Luci, Charlotte and Rylan, as well as his many nephews and nieces.

He lived in Tacoma, WA most of his life and graduated from Mt. Tahoma High School in 1972. Jimmy enjoyed woodworking. He carved big wooden signs and walking sticks. He also repaired and refurbished wooden furniture. He loved connecting with nature and working in the garden with his nephew Tony. When he couldn’t be out and about he watched his favorite movies, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

We are going to miss his bright shirts, big smile, huge hugs and his Hippie ways!! Till we meet again! Love you Dad!!

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 18^th at 109 E. 62^nd St. in Tacoma, WA at 3pm.

A special thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses at St. Joseph Medical Center, for taking good care of him and keeping him comfortable in his final days!!

Also Thank you to all of our Family and Friends for all the love and support you have given us during this time!! It is all greatly appreciated!!
