Obituary of Bradley K Brannon

Bradley K. Brannon passed away January 13th, 2020 from health issues related to being struck by a texting driver 10 years ago. That accident left him paralyzed from the chest down.  Despite these injuries and the myriad of health problems caused by them, Bradley lived the last 10 years of his life with the same bravery, kindness, and humor that he showed every day of his 69 years on this earth. He was born August 10th 1950 to JW and Vera Brannon in Lorrine Texas. He graduated from East Anchorage High School in 1968. In July of 1970 he married the love of his life, Christine, and built a beautiful life with her over the years that followed. He was a decorated Army veteran who proudly served his country until 1971 when he moved on to serve his community as an officer in the Anchorage Police Department until his retirement in 1992. Bradley was a gentle giant who loved his family, his friends, and his community with quiet strength and a bright genuine smile. He was an avid outdoorsman who explored and adventured for a major of his life through our country’s two largest states. He was a pilot and loved to fly over the beauty of Alaska. He was a modern day renaissance man who built two of his homes, multiple boats, planes, and so much more. If BK couldn’t fix it then no one could. He was a loving father to his four children and later a wonderful grandfather to his ten grandchildren. He was a loyal friend, a loving husband, and a safe harbor to all who knew him. Bradley is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Christine; his four children and their spouses James Brannon , Benjamin(Nancy) Brannon, Joseph (ReKann) Brannon, and Sarah(Jeremy) Crogan; his grandchildren Dylan, Kaleb, Hayden, Hailey, Ella, Hays, Zoë, Johnny, Owen, and Logan; his brothers and their spouses Kerry(Linda), Steve(Molly), and Kelly(Kathy); as well as many extended family and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 201 NE Oleary St, Oak Harbor WA 98277.
