Obituary of Clark Curtis

Curtis Roy Clark

September 20, 1962 - January 6, 2020

Curtis was born September 20th, 1962 to Linda Lee Clark and George Howitz. He was raised in University Place, WA with his brother and sisters where he attended Curtis High School.  Growing up as a teenager in the 70’s and 80’s influenced his love of music. His first instrument was the cello, and later on he picked up the electric guitar, and even built one. He also enjoyed practicing Karate at Pt. Defiance with the East Side Boys Club. Curtis loved working with his hands and became a painting contractor in his early 20’s, starting a career that would last his lifetime.  When he wasn’t running his own business, he often worked with his brother who was also a painting contractor.  At 27 Curtis became a father to his only child, Sabrina Bolieu. She was always his source of joy, and he could not have been more proud of another human being. Curtis lost his battle with lung cancer Monday January 6th, 2020. He was a fiercely loving soul who wanted to help everyone he knew. No one had a bigger heart than him or felt feelings as deeply as he did in life.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father and leaves behind his daughter Sabrina Bolieu, Siblings: Caren Chambless, Brent Howitz, and Leslie Reed. Nieces and Nephew: Andrea Howitz, Chelsey Howitz, Jenn White, Nathan Chambless, Haylee Reed and Grace Reed. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in his name to any local homeless shelter.
