Obituary of Delores A. Marsh

Delores died on September 18th, 2019 in Lakewood, Washington of natural causes. She was born on August 21st, 1926 in Newell, South Dakota to Laverne and Mildred Iverson. Delores was the second of eight children. The family moved to Centralia, Washington in 1940. Delores graduated from Rochester High School in 1944.
 
While she was raised as a "farm girl", she always yearned for a life in the "big"city!
 
When Delores was a young woman she moved to Seattle where she took secretarial courses and spent her career as an administrative assistant. She met and married Eber E. Marsh in 1953.They moved to Pullman, Washington in 1962 with their two young daughters.The couple divorced in 1967.
 
Delores worked for Washington State University in the Facilities Planning department until she relocated to Tacoma in 1977. She operated her own secretarial business for several years, before retiring from Kennedy Jenks engineers in Federal Way.
She adored her family and took pride and joy in her grandson and great-grandsons!
 
Delores enjoyed sewing, collecting and making dolls, crafts, shopping and decorating. She was very creative, resourceful and could find a way to fix anything! She was a member of the laughter ladies, Red Hat group. The group met regularly and it gave Delores the opportunity to "dress up", enjoy much laughter and companionship.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings. Delores is survived by her daughters; Lori Bartkus of University Place, Washington, Lisa Marsh of Liberty Lake, Washington, grandson Joseph Bartkus and 3 great-grandsons all of University Place.
