Obituary of Darlene Rae Orestad

Darlene Rae Orestad Age 84 of Puyallup, Washington passed into the Loving arms of Jesus on July 8th, 2019, surrounded by her Loving family. She was born to the late William and Edith McKee October 7th, 1934 in Spokane, Washington. She was a loving Mother and homemaker. She began a career in Healthcare as a Nursing Assistant. Darlene also provided in home care for the sick and or elderly and also had an in home daycare for children. Truly, she was a woman of service, providing tender loving care to all. She attended Abundant Life Foursquare Church in Orting, Washington prior to her failing health. Darlene loved Jesus and spending time with her large family and friends. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, watching cooking shows on TV especially The Pioneer Woman, also love shopping, garage sales and going to the Casino. But most of all she loved BABIES! All who knew her loved her hilarious sense of humor and her feistiness. She was so loved and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children William York (Monique), Kenalee Lively, Debbie Devereaux (Marty),Travis Orestad (Selena), Edee Egts (David), Connie Orestad and Todd Martinez. Also survived by 23 Grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren, numerous Nieces, Nephews and friends. Darlene was predeceased by her parents, Brothers Sonny, Brent and Dale McKee and many lifelong friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 23rd 2019 at 2:00pm at Orting Christian Church- 112 Varner Ave S.E. Orting, Wa.
