Obituary of Dr. Dean F Simmons

Dr. Dean F Simmons, beloved husband, father, and friend, went home to the Lord, Thursday, June 13, 2019.  Dean was born in Manchester, Iowa on Feb. 27, 1944.

Dean attended chiropractic college at Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 1966. After completing post-graduate work in the Pacific Northwest and passing his Chiropractic boards in several states, Dean decided to open his practice in Tacoma, WA in 1967.

During his 51 years in chiropractic practice, Dean published two books and became a deeply valued and well respected pioneer among peers in his industry. His greatest and most beloved achievement was his devotion to his family. Dean is survived by Lana, his wife of almost 49 years, 3 children - Dean Jr.and wife Bonnie, Tom and wife Heather, Jamie and husband Andy; 6 grand children - McKenzie, Austin, Zoe, Autumn, Alex and Addy; and 1 great grandchild - Brooklynn.

Through his life Dean shared his passion for helping people succeed with health, finances and relationships. Constantly striving to learn and grow, he motivated people to dream and achieve all that God destined them to be. He leaves a great legacy of love for God, family and country. 

There will never be another Dr. Dean Simmons - loving husband, father and friend. We will miss him dearly and can hardly wait to see him again one day when the Lord returns or calls us home. 

Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 6:30pm at Champions Centre Tacoma - 1819 E 72nd St, Tacoma 98404
