Obituary of Velna Marie Floyd

Velna Marie Floyd was born on August 9, 1952 in Tacoma, WA. She was the youngest of three children. 

From a very young age she knew she wanted to be a mother. Having been married young and having five children, she found the courage to leave a troubled marriage to start anew. 

She soon met and married the love of her life and together they had one more child.

She leaves behind her husband of 33 years, Scott, and her six children: Selice Bradley, Jennifer Pitigliano, Mark A. Berg Jr., Sarah Olmstead, Cassandra Rhodes, and Jason L. Floyd. 

Velna is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces, great nieces and many friends. 

Velna will be remembered for being an incredible woman who faced many challenges with great strength and character. She was a survivor of domestic violence, had a wicked sense of humor, and a great love of Halloween. 

She passed away on Monday, March 18th, surrounded by her loving family. 
She was 66.
