Obituary of Allan Rodney Stiers

Allan Rodney Stiers passed on December 31st, 2011. Allan was born January 20, 1938 in Bemidji, Minnesota and he passed in Federal Way, Washington Allan and his family moved to washington when he was 8 years old. After they settled in Seattle WA Allan went to Coleman elementary. For Jr. high Allan went to Washington Jr. high, after Jr. high he finished high school at Franklin high graduating in 1957. After graduating Allan had a short stint in the Army with a service of four years. He was in the position of logistics' (Truck Driving) and was awarded Sharp Shooter of the M-14. When he was finished with the Army Allan decided to venture into drywall. And in 1965 Allan became a drywall taper. He enjoyed it enough to make it his career. During his career of dry walling he taught both of his boys Greg & Spencer the art of drywall. He happily retired in 2000, in his retirement he enjoyed his t.v. and his lounge chair. As well as his favorite football and well all sports but he loved his Seahawks. And my oh my he so enjoyed NASCAR....as well as old cowboy movies, Always enjoyed a good cup of joe, or a rum an coke, candy bars and family picnics, BBq's, and being at home just in case company came by or especially the grandkids they always knew grandpa was home. He was a great protector and was so loved by many. You could always depend on papa. He will be sadly missed and always in our hearts. Allan was proceeded in death by his father-George Carl, mother-Dolly, sister-Alice, brothers George & Jim. He is survived by Sisters Helen & Hazel & Brother Bob. He will be dearly missed by his wife Sharon of 26 years, Children Greg, Spencer, Trina, Aaron, Darla. His grandkids Scott, Nick, Tanis, River, Tatyana, Kristen, William, And Madaline. And by Great grandbaby Shalynn. Services will be held 1-28-2012 @ 1:00pm @ the Puyallup elks any questions please call Trina. Merge onto WA-167 S toward Kent/Auburn Merge onto WA-410 E toward Sumner/Yakima Take the E. Main/Traffic Ave exit Turn right onto E Main Ave Turn right onto 27th St NE Drive streight back and you'll see the big ELKS sign park and come on in.
