I have so many memories of you. You've been my neighbor for almost 17 years. I remember spending hours in your garage with you working on your airplane with you. As weworked it went from just a skeleton of an airplane and by each piece we added and I don't know how many thousand rivets it formed an airplane. Some of my best childhood memories involved you. The misgevious things we would do. It was really a great time. The smile you had and that distinct laugh. I know I would not be the man I am now without you and the things you fought me over the years. I love you Dave. I will see you on the other side. And I can't wait to hear that laugh and see that smile again. RIP Dave! Your nephew Jake!

Vermeersch family Im sorry to hear of Davids passing and you are in our thoughts and prayers. In high school I remember David loved anything that had a motor, we had lots of fun when I would bring over my Bultaco dirt bike and David would get your dads Penton and we would go riding down the power lines. David being the older brother would drive Elaine and me around to Prom, he was a good big brother to let us tag along. Im not surprised that he got into airplanes and built his own, even in high school he possessed a talent to build and tinker. Scott and Melanie Young

I remember when Dave began building the plane, his heart and soul poured into his dream. I couldn't believe this guy was actually doing this in his garage no less, then getting his licenseQ. There was nothing going to stand in his way. He invited me to go for a flight and I accepted thinking, I can't believe I am going to do this. We had to reschedule due to weather a few times, something to do with pressures and ceilings, I was trusting he knew what he was talking about cause I sure didn't. We finally got to go, it was the first time I had seen the plane in real life, I was a bit nervous to say the least. There is that point when you are about to take off that you basically turn your life over to him. Once I decided he was in control, and we were safely in the air, I was able to relax and enjoy the experience. He even let me fly momentarily, not near as easy as he made it look. We landed safely and smoothly so I thought, he wasn't happy with the landing so up we went to do it again. I will miss Dave, I know he is still flying, I take comfort in this. My condolences to his family, Anne and friends. I thank you for being with him and the wonderful things you all did to allow him to continue to be Dave. Corina
