Chuck was the best part of Search & Rescue for me. He was my trainer, mentor, and friend. I am so grateful for his friendship to my Dad, particularly in the last year of his life, when Chuck would come and take Dad out to lunch, when no one else wanted to visit with a blind and deaf man. I so enjoyed Chuck's sense of humour, ability to wade through the BS and keep us all focused on the important things. I'll never forget the morning of a search mission when we had just been turned back, and were killing time waiting for the rest of the crew to come down the mountain, and he gave me some great advice about my relationship with my boyfriend. His clear thinking and keen insight was always welcome, and will be sorely missed. I hope I can carry a spark of Chuck with me for the rest of my life. PERSEVERE!

My condolences to the family. Chuck was a wonderful man who had a positive inpact on many people. I worked with him on N5 at WSH. He will forever be one of my very favorite coworkers/mentor. I loved his sense of humor and I can still hear him saying 'Lions 3 Christians nothing'

First to Chuck 691 sorry not saying this sooner but THANKS! for your service to our country. Now to Linda and the rest of the Dockery family. Thank you for letting him be apart of the Pierce Co Search And Rescue 4x4 unit. Chuck /691 put in countless hours in SAR and was a major part of our organization. Chucks dedication to the unit and SAR as a hole will be truly missed. I've had the Honor of Knowing Chuck for 12 years that I've been apart of SAR. I will never forget Chuck / 691. I'm truly sorry for your lost.

We lived across the street from Linda and Doc for about 3 years at Lake Tapps. I will never forget the week that we brought our baby daughter home. We went over to visit and Doc met us at the door, took her from my arms and was off! He always had a wave and smile for you when he passed by. My heart and prayers go to Linda and the rest of his family during this time! He was a wonderful man.

Doc was loved, admired, and respected by every Marine and Sailor that was honored to serve with him. Because of his devotion to duty, courage and bravery, many Marines survived our battle at Getlin's Corner in Vietnam. He will always be remembered by his Marines as an American Hero! Semper Fidelis Doc!
