Obituary of Edith Ann Johnson

Edith died peacefully in her sleep with her loving family by her side on July 17, 2007, after a battle with cancer. She was 72 years old and a life time resident of Tacoma. Edith’s greatest pride was her family and you would never leave her house without a smile on your face, or thinking about a joke she had just played on you. She also enjoyed a good family game of cards, visits to Reno, or to the local casino. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. Edith is survived by her husband of 30 years Frank; daughters Colleen (Len) Fink and Debra (Mike) Jacobson; 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 PM Monday, 7/23/2007 at Lakeview Congregational Chapel, 4606 108th St., SW, Lakewood, WA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to American Cancer Society – Tacoma Office, or Franciscan Hospice in her name. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008.
