Obituary of Carol Ann Franklin

Carol was the first child of Beatrice (nee Fuller) and Eugene Ford and was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on July 3, 1944 . She grew up on Long Island in New York State, graduating from Island Trees High School and later received her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. While working for the American Institute of Architects in Washington, DC, she travelled widely and circled the globe before settling down to marry John Franklin and raise their daughter Sharon Rose. Carol later returned to work, teaching at Chief Leschi School near Puyallup, before her brave battle with cancer returned her to the Lord peacefully on June 9, 2009. She was preceded in death by her father and leaves behind her mother, brothers Richard (Patty) Ford and James (Kim) Ford, daughter Sharon (David) Beeck and new grandson Jayden, plus numerous other loving family members and caring friends from a lifetime well lived. Remembrances in her name may be made to your favorite charity.
