Obituary of Susan Miller Meyers

Sue was born in Columbus, Ohio. Her life took her to many places having been an Army brat. Her family settled in Parkland, Washington where she graduated from Washington HS in 1976. Sue met and married Joe Meyers in 1984. Being a naval wife, she followed Joe to San Diego, CA in 1985. Sue began her career with Tacoma Dodge. In San Diego Sue worked for Drew Ford in La Mesa, CA and then Mossy Nissan in National City. In 1996 Sue moved back to Washington to be near family. Sue settled in Marysville where she advanced her career as the Controller for the Rairdon Group with dealerships in Smokey Point, Monroe, Bellingham, Kirkland and recently in Auburn. She was very humble about her position and if someone asked what she did, she simply said, “I am a bookkeeper.” It is her loving and generous spirit that will be most remembered. Sue was the family guardian. Helping anyone who showed a need. She loved ballroom dancing, dogs, books, movies and spending time with friends and family. Sue’s life tragically ended on December 20th. As her brother so eloquently put it; “Like George Bailey my sister Susan was a hard working compassionate person who was always there when you needed her. Unfortunately we don’t have an angel named Clarence to show her how much she improved the lives of all the people in her life and how much we will miss her. “ Sue is survived by: her father Winston Miller (Erli), siblings Winston Miller Jr, Vicki Seaman (Chris), Debbie MacNealy (Pat), son Austin Meyers, nephews Christopher and Connor Seaman, nieces Amy and Ashley. Also close friends Karen Alexander, Donna McCaig, and Terri Stauffer. Preceded in death by her mother Vivian Williams Miller, husband Joe Meyers and her sister Cathy Miller. A memorial will be held at Yelm Middle School, 402 West Yelm Ave, Yelm, WA on January 2nd at 1pm. Please sign Sue’s guestbook at online guestbook at www.edwardsmemorial.com
