Obituary of Lois Lucille Adams

Lois Lucille Adams went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, February 3, 2012. Lois was born in Platte, South Dakota, March 31, 1923 and passed away in her home where she resided for the past 54 years. She graduated from South Dakota State College with a degree in education and began her teaching career of 39 years in a one room school house. Lois married Bill Adams on August 15, 1947. Bill and Lois lived in Wagner, South Dakota where they owned and operated B & L Shoe Store. Fire destroyed their business and Bill made the decision to move his family to Washington State in 1957. Lois continued teaching in Washington in the Orting and Kent School Districts until her retirement in 1987. Lois' passion was her family and her grandchildren. The legacy she left with her grandchildren is so beautifully evident in the relationships she had with each one of them. Lois was a member of the Tacoma CRC where she was loved and had many special friendships. Lois is survived by her two daughters and families: Debbie and Steve Carlman, children Adam, Ben, Carah (Phillip), Dani; Dawn and Terry Noteboom, children Jessica, Doug, Rachelle. A Memorial Service celebrating Lois' life will be held, Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Tacoma Christian Reformed Church @ 2:00 PM. Memorial's in Lois' name may be given to the Tacoma Rescue Mission.
