My cousin Ingrid Arendt (Mack) was dearly held in memory for many years following my moving away from Tacoma in 1960. I fondly remember her being a nice person and so full of life. She cared for animals and was a dear friend who I always enjoyed visiting with. We had many happy times at our Oma and Opa's home and at her home in Tacoma. I only regret I was not able to see more of her as the years wore on. Ich liebe dich Ingrid...Ewig dein, Kurt

Dear Eda and family members and friends, I am sorry for your loss of Ingrid. I will also miss hearing her greet me with 'Hello Beautiful.' It always made my day a little brighter. The online memorial is so beautiful, thank you for putting it together. I am sorry for not being at the service due to my working the weekend thereof. May you feel the presence of God's love at this difficult time. God bless and with lots of love, Yvette Green

To the Arendt Family My thoughts and prayers are with you. The confirmation picture brought back so many memories of our 'youth' at Peace Lutheran and how our families were all connected. May it be comforting to know that so many people thought so much of Ingrid and that she will be truly missed by so many.

I know in my heart and i can feel it in my soul, you now know, i've always, told you the truth. I beleave our lives are made up of tests and this paves our way to our destiny. Yours being the ultimate, that of a guardian angel. You passed theese tests well through your life and have touched many other lives, well. You have shown tremendous strength and perseverance, along with the highest of character. Tell oma and opa i miss them. Hold dads hand and wait for mom. So many of us grieve over your passing, I choose to be content in knowing that your safe and at gods side. Keep a candle lit in the window for me, for my road is long and never ending. I'll sing 'found a peanut' for you, like you did for me. This is not goodbye, just, see ya later. xo xo

Ingrid didn't know me very well but every Friday, and some Tuesday mornings, I would enter her lab looking forward to her wonderful smile. She always called me 'Honey', and we'd talk about my kids or our flowers in the yard. Every new person I trained before we entered her lab area I'd always tell them this was my favorite lab because this was where Ingrid worked. I will miss our visits very much. To her family, friends, and coworkers my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My Dear Sweet Ingie, To all the family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. We will all forever miss sweet Ing. I have such great memories of spending the night with Ingrid. She let us do so many things our moms wouldn't. Sunlamps, makeup, fashion magazines, what more could a 13 year old girl dream of. I am so thankful to have had the time and memories that I have of Ingrid. Until we see each other again my dear friend. Love, Rhonda~

My dearest Auntie Ingie, You were not only my aunt and my Godmother but you were like a sister, a mother, and my best friend all wrapped up in one. You were my confidant, my supporter, and my guardian angel. You made me who I am today and I feel so blessed to have been so close to you. There are no words to describe how deeply I will miss you Ing and I will cherish each and every memory as long as I live. There will never be another you ~ and we are all better people to have known you. I've always told you that you're my hero and just like the song, you are the wind beneath my wings~ now you can fly higher than an eagle and I will try to be strong and carry on for you until we meet again... I love you so~

Ingrid kept saying It isnt fair, it just isnt fair. And she was right. The unfairness of it stunned and saddened us all. But hopefully we have learned something about generosity and pride in our work that we will carry forward for her. I miss her sparkling smile and cheery morning welcome and will think fondly of her each time I see a People magazine, a spoiled pet, or a perfect cup of coffee. R.I.P. -penny

It is with gread sadness that I have to say goodbye to Ingrid. Everything was so sudden, and many of us are still in shock. I knew Ingrid as a coworker and her 'boss' for the past 20 years, both when she worked up at Swedish and Tacoma General. Ingrid was always a very kind soul, which her kindess also stretched forth for her love of animals. It was only a month of so ago Ingrid was telling me the story of the Possum who used to visit her since it was a baby, and she feed him. Also of the many stray cats she rescued, and of the Racoon family that used to visit as well. They will miss Ingrid as well. I've always believed that God has a special place in his heart for those that love and protect animal life. So to Ingrid's family, I send my condolences. To the rest of us, we all have good memories of Ingrid and I am proud to have been her friend. Rest well dear Ingrid, all of your beloved animals you had to let go have been awaiting your arrival.

Ingrid was my friend and a co-worker. We at Tacoma General Hospital had the opportunity to know her and work with her every day. I will always remember her enourmous love for her work. She never complained and took such pride in what she did. She was a lady with some incredible qualities not to be forgotton. That of her love for all animals but especially her own. We listened to stories about them each day. They brought her the greatest enjoyment. She also held a special place in her heart for all children.Ingrid would never allow me to get angry with my son because she was always sticking up for him no matter the circumstances. I feel so blessed to have been her friend and I will always miss all the laughs and the extremely long telephone conversations we shared. My prayers are with Ingrid's family for the loss of their loved one.

Ingrid's passing leaves a hole in the hearts of many. As a young, beautiful woman she was full of life and vitality, often flashing her lovely smile and showing kindness and grace. She was also adventurous and curious and loved a good joke. As a middle aged mature women, her compassion for others matured as well and her work in the medical care system gave her comfort that she was helping others. Her compassion for others, love for her family and friends and her pets continued until the day she was taken from us. All our Love to her as she has crossed the sea of time and awaits those she loves on yonder shore. Be not sad for it shall not be long until we meet again. Ingrid Mack will be missed. She lives on in our hearts and minds and we miss her. Rest in Peace, Ingrid (Arendt)Mack.

Ingrid, we grew up across the street from each other -- our mothers were/are friends. My thoughts are with your family. You can now rest easy; your work is completed. With respect, Colleen
