Obituary of Andrew Anthony Broz

Andrew was born 6/13/1920 to August and Katherine Broz in Tacoma, WA. He passed away 4/17/2010 at the age of 89 surrounded by his loving family at his daughter’s home. Andrew attended Visitation School, Bellarmine Preparatory School and graduated from the University of Washington. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. After completing college, Andrew began a career with Weyerhaeuser Co which he retired from after 30 years. In 1943 Andrew married Elvene Berlin of Monroe, WA. Their marriage lasted until her death in 2007. Andrew loved his family, travelling, golf, his beach property and cooking. He is survived by his son, James (Janice) and daughter Kristina Beeken (David); granddaughters Sarah Schieron (Keith), Allison Vance (Brian), Jessica Broz, Kelly Beeken and Andrea Beeken; and great grandchildren Cooper Schieron, Luna Vance, and Rachel Vance. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, 5/1 at 1PM at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club, 13204 Country Club Drive SW, Lakewood, WA 98498.
