We were so srry to hear about the passing of Bene . He was a wonderful musician and he will be missed so much at Holy Cross church services. Our love and sympathy to Marty - she was a wonderful wife to him. It was such a joy to see them together- and playing the piano and organ. Our sincere love to Marty she was always so kind to us, and we so appreciate everything she and Bennydid for Holy Cross. If ever we can do anything for you, just let us know. Love Steve and Gay Saunders, Issaquah.

God truly blessed me when he brought Bene into my life. He was an amazing musician as well as an amazing individual. I know he is now playing the organ in the Celestial Choir. Thank you Marti for arranging music he could play on Sundays. I love you both.

Dear Marti, My heart goes out to you at this difficult time. I didn't know Bene well, but knew of his work of course. I am sure his many fans feel this loss to the world of music and the organ in particular. I was quite taken reading about his life and many struggles over the last few years but how marvelous that he was able to continue to play under those physical limitations. May God's grace sustain you through the days ahead. David di Fiore

Bene was a true inspiration to me. He had a God given gift to make music in a sphere beyond our comprehension. I have enjoyed using his dynamic improvisations in my music ministry. Of particular joy to me is 'O For A Thousand Bene expressed to me he really didn't like this improv it has brought joy and encouragement to those who heard it and me as I played it. Bene may you enjoy the presence of our Lord as 'you have been a good and faithful servant'. Marti, thanks to you for your commitment to Bene during these last years. You have truly demonstrated the love of Christ. May God richly bless you. Gary

Sue, Wally and Families, you all are in my thoughts and prayers. I have many fond memories of Bene when visiting Gma, Gpa, and your family when growing up. How blessed we are to have been able to know him. He was truly an exceptional artist and is now playing for our Father.

Knowing Bene for many years was a distinct privilege. He devoted his Ministry of Music to blessing people for Christ, and it showed in the passion he brought to each piece he performed. Having been privileged to also personally know many musical greats, I can say that Bene was among the best and uniquely anointed by the Lord to reach the heart of listeners. Then, our introduction of Bene to Marti, whom Bene then married as the true love of his life, was a high point in our lives. May God continue to use Bene in Heaven where he is now at true peace and blessing more people there. May God also bless Marti as she carries on Bene's ministry of blessing people musically as well. We love and pray for her.

It is with the greatest sorrow that we have learned of the passing of Bene. We have been good friends for many years - dating back to the early 1970s. Bene's talent was absolutely phenomenal and he influenced many Christians with his music. The world suffers a tremendous loss. We know Bene is with our Father. God Bless Bene and God Bless Marti for all the love and support to him over the years. Our prayers are certainly with Marti.

'I first want you to know of my and our deep appreciation for the music ministry that both Bene and Marti brought to our Lake City Presbyterian congregation in the early stages of the development of our organ and choir program with the purchase of our 3 Manual Rodgers 890 Westminster Organ. 'As a pastor of some five decades, I have always known how important music is to worship and energizing the congregation as it gathers to praise God. I have always appreciated good music. However, I had no background on selecting an organ or developing a program around the installation and launching a music ministry with such a wonderful new instrument. Enter Bene and Marti. Each of them contributed so much to me and to our congregation's understanding, appreciation and participation in our music ministry. In all my years as a pastor, I have never know two who gave of themselves so generously, enthusiastically and with a sense of dedication to their work in their practice, presentation in concert and great blessing in the worship services themselves. They brought out so many aspects of our new instrument that we were all amazed with the richness of the sounds. May God's peace and presence attend Marti.

Bene was a great inspiration to me to further my music skills. I still listen to his recordings. One of the favorite is the one about 20 years ago at the Methodist Church in Portland.
