Obituary of Eleanor Helen King

Eleanor "Elle" Helen King Eleanor King, 84, of Everett, died Monday, March 30, 2009 following a courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon King. Eleanor was born January 25, 1925 in Bayonne, NJ to Benjamin and Stephanie Mitkowski. She was one of six children born to the Mitkowski family. She resided in New Jersey, Montana and Washington states. While she loved living in the Pacific Northwest near her family, she was always a "Jersey Girl" at heart and made frequent trips back East to visit with her beloved friends and family in the Garden State. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as her close and cherished friends. She also enjoyed professional sports, politics, shopping, entertaining, traveling, decorating for Christmas holidays, gambling and savoring delicious foods - anything "East Coast" style she was especially fond of. Eleanor is survived by her five children: Vernon Jr. (Kathleen) King, Beverly (Burt) Pack, Jacqueline (Tim) Romo, Dennis King and Brian (Donna Thiele) King. She had eight grandchildren: Stephanie, Jeffrey, Anthony, Wendy, Benjamin, Shaun, Randy and Mitchell. She also had eight great grandchildren. At her request, no funeral services will be held. In lieu of gifts, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
